Weather Behind the Recent Eastern Australia Floods

5th May 2022

Flooding in late February, March and early April caused significant damage along large sections of the Australian east coast. FMA Member Risk Frontiers has released a Briefing Note describing the weather driving these events, and places them in some historical context.

The Note poses the question “Was this event different to historical events due to climate change, either by rainfall intensity, wind speed or through atmospheric ocean anomalies?”
